| So, what have I been leaving off of this blog?
Jon and I got married in July. It was fun, and all that jazz. My mom has the pictures on CD, but we keep forgetting/missing each other with those... :)
I worked for the Cooperative Extension Service for a while, in the biological & agricultural engineering department. I was an assistant to a professor doing research on biofuels. While that sounds pretty cool, it was actually boring/awful. The last straw was having to do manual labor (wheat straw through a wood chipper in my business casual clothes, what?). I was supposed to go to graduate school in an odd distance-education thing, but it fell through on the Fayetteville side, and I decided that it really wasn't what I wanted to do, anyway...
I currently work for the AR Department of Health in the engineering department. I'm the Comprehensive Performance Evaluation Engineer, which means I'm in charge of a drinking water system optimization program. It's really interesting to see what goes on to regulate water systems, and what can go horribly, horribly wrong with water treatment. If you live in Arkansas and are curious about your city's water quality and/or want to know specifics about where you get your water, let me know, I'll look at the files :P
For my engineer friends who don't have a job/know someone with an engineering degree without a job (in Little Rock area): there are openings with ADH at the moment. While the pay could be better (state government, you know...), it's interesting work. http://www.arstatejobs.com will get you to the hiring website, I believe.
Also: I'll be in Austin, TX for a conference Feb 2-5, if anyone wants to hang out.

| I keep forgetting about Xanga. This remembrance was spurred by a chance meeting of Ethan Helms outside the Dept. of Health. Funny how many people I know going to UAMS, and he's the only person I've met so far in the area! :)
I'll update on what's going on later. Lunch break is over :(

| I found this great site, and they'll give me a free tea sample if I link them. :)
Check them out, if you care for tea.

| While not entirely accurate, it still is a very nice 10 minute paint drawing to illustrate a concept for my social psych paper.
